460 - أنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ، نا الْقَاضِي أَبُو طَاهِرٍ، نا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ شَرِيكِ بْنِ الْفَضْلِ، نا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ، نا زَائِدَةُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ رِبْعِيِّ بْنِ حِرَاشٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الْيَسَرِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَنْ أَنْظَرَ مُعْسِرًا أَوْ وَضَعَ عَنْهُ أَظَلَّهُ اللَّهُ فِي ظِلِّهِ يَوْمَ لَا ظِلَّ إِلَّا ظِلُّهُ» قَالَ: فَبَصَقَ أَبُو الْيُسْرِ فِي صَحِيفَتِهِ وَقَالَ لِغَرِيمِهِ: اذْهَبْ فَهُوَ لَكَ وَذُكِرَ أَنَّهُ كَانَ مُعْسِرًا
Sayyiduna Abu al-Yasar (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Whoever grants respite to a person in difficulty or forgives him, Allah will grant him His shade on the Day when there will be no shade except His shade.” The narrator says: Then Abu al-Yasar spat on his register (and erased the debtor’s name) and said to his debtor: Go, it is for you (i.e., your debt is forgiven), and the narrator mentioned that indeed the debtor was a person in difficulty.
