Brief Explanation
Explanation— This hadith is an explanation of Allah Ta'ala's statement: “And proclaim the blessing of your Lord.” (1) That is, in order to express gratitude, mention your Lord’s blessing, make it known, because proclaiming a blessing is itself an act of gratitude. And while mentioning the benefit of expressing gratitude, Allah Ta'ala has said: “Indeed, if you are grateful, I will surely, surely increase you; and if you are ungrateful, then surely My punishment is very severe.” (1)
