Sayyiduna Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said: "Whoever likes to meet Allah, Allah also likes to meet him, and whoever does not like to meet Allah, Allah also does not like to meet him." Muslim has also narrated this with his chain in similar words.

Brief Explanation
Explanation:
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah radi Allahu anhu narrates that the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said: “Whoever loves to meet Allah, Allah loves to meet him, and whoever dislikes to meet Allah, Allah dislikes to meet him.”

(Shurayh, a student of Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah radi Allahu anhu) said: I went to Sayyidah Aishah radi Allahu anha and said: O Mother of the Believers! I heard Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah radi Allahu anhu narrate a hadith from the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and if it is correct, then we are doomed. Sayyidah Aishah radi Allahu anha said: Which hadith is that? (I said:) He says that the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said: “Whoever loves to meet Allah, Allah loves to meet him, and whoever dislikes to meet Allah, Allah dislikes to meet him, while each of us dislikes death? (And meeting Allah is not possible without death?)” Sayyidah Aishah radi Allahu anha said: Indeed, these are the words of the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, but it does not mean what you have understood. Rather, it is at the time when the gaze is fixed upwards, the breath is caught in the chest, the hair of the body stands on end, and the limbs begin to tremble—at that time, whoever loves to meet Allah, Allah loves to meet him, and whoever dislikes to meet Allah at that time, Allah also dislikes to meet him. [سنن نسائي : 1835 ، صحيح]

It is also narrated from Sayyidah Aishah radi Allahu anha that the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said: “Whoever (at the time of the pangs of death) loves to meet Allah, Allah also loves to meet him, and whoever does not love to meet Allah, Allah also does not love to meet him.” It was said: O Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam! Does disliking to meet Allah mean disliking death? Each of us dislikes death. He sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said: “This refers to the time of death: when the believer is given the glad tidings of Allah’s mercy and forgiveness, he immediately desires to meet Allah, and Allah desires to meet him. And when the disbeliever is informed of Allah’s punishment, he dislikes to meet Allah, and Allah also dislikes to meet him.” [سنن نسائي : 1839 ، صحيح]

The meaning is that when the angels of death become visible, at that time, whoever desires to go to Allah and meet Him, Allah also desires to meet him, and whoever does not desire to meet Allah at that time, Allah also does not desire to meet him. In reality, at the time of death, the believer is given the glad tidings of those blessings from Allah which he will receive in the Hereafter, so at that time he loves to meet Allah so that he may quickly be transferred to those blessings which Allah has prepared for him. Whereas the disbeliever and the hypocrite are informed of punishment, so he sees in his death eternal destruction and loss, which creates regret in his heart that if only death would not come to him. Then comes the stage of burial, and even at that time, the same situation occurs: the believer says, “Take me quickly,” while the disbeliever and the hypocrite say, “Do not take me.” Thus, it is mentioned in the hadith: “When the deceased is placed on the bier and the men lift him on their shoulders, if he was righteous, he says, ‘Take me forward,’ but if he was not righteous, he says, ‘Woe to me! Where are you taking me?’ All creation hears this voice except humans; if humans were to hear it, they would fall unconscious.” [بخاري : 1314]
