412 - وَأَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دَوَسْتَ، إِجَازَةً، أبنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ السُّلَمِيُّ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، أبنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الشِّيرَازِيُّ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُوسَى بْنِ عِيسَى، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ جَشْمَرَدَ، ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الصَّلْتِ، ثنا ثَابِتُ بْنُ مُوسَى الْعَابِدُ، ثنا شَرِيكٌ، وَسُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَنْ كَثُرَ صَلَاتُهُ بِاللَّيْلِ حَسُنَ وَجْهُهُ بِالنَّهَارِ» وَرَوَى هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ جَمَاعَةٌ مِنَ الْحُفَّاظِ، وَانْتَقَاهُ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ عُمَرَ الدَّارَقُطْنِيُّ الْحَافِظُ مِنْ حَدِيثِ الْقَاضِي أَبِي الطَّاهِرٍ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ الذُّهْلِيِّ، وَمَا طَعَنَ أَحَدٌ مِنْهُمْ فِي إِسْنَادِهِ، وَلَا مَتْنِهِ. وَقَدُ أَنْكَرَهُ بَعْضُ الْحُفَّاظِ وَقَالَ: إِنَّهُ مِنْ كَلَامِ شَرِيكِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، وَنَسَبَ الشَّبَهَ فِيهِ إِلَى ثَابِتِ بْنِ مُوسَى الضَّبِّيِّ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْغَازِيُّ الْمُطَّوِّعِيُّ سَاكِنُ مَكَّةَ حَرَسَهَا اللَّهُ، إِجَازَةً قَالَ: أبنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْحَاكِمُ قَالَ: " دَخَلَ ثَابِتُ بْنُ مُوسَى الزَّاهِدُ عَلَى شَرِيكِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْقَاضِي وَالْمُسْتَمْلِي بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ وَشَرِيكٌ يَقُولُ: ثنا الْأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَلَمْ يَذْكُرِ الْمَتْنَ، فَلَمَّا نَظَرَ إِلَى ثَابِتٍ قَالَ: «مَنْ كَثُرَ صَلَاتُهُ بِاللَّيْلِ حَسُنَ وَجْهُهُ بِالنَّهَارِ» وَإِنَّمَا أَرَادَ بِذَلِكَ ثَابِتَ بْنَ مُوسَى لِزُهْدِهِ، وَوَرَعِهِ، فَظَنَّ ثَابِتُ بْنُ مُوسَى أَنَّهُ رَوَى هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ مَرْفُوعًا بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ، وَكَانَ ثَابِتُ بْنُ مُوسَى يُحَدِّثُ بِهِ عَنْ شَرِيكٍ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، وَلَيْسَ لِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ أَصْلٌ إِلَّا مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ وَعَنْ قَوْمٍ مِنَ الْمَجْرُوحِينَ سَرَقُوهُ مِنْ ثَابِتِ بْنِ مُوسَى، وَرَوَوْهُ عَنْ شَرِيكٍ. وَقَدْ رُوِيَ لَنَا هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ مِنْ طُرُقٍ كَثِيرَةٍ، وَعَنْ ثِقَاتٍ عَنْ غَيْرِ ثَابِتِ بْنِ مُوسَى، وَعَنْ غَيْرِ شَرِيكٍ وَذَلِكَ
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever offers many voluntary prayers at night, his face becomes very radiant during the day." A large group of the Imams of Hadith have narrated this hadith, while Imam Abu al-Hasan Ali bin Umar al-Daraqutni selected and narrated this hadith from the narrations of Qadi Abu Tahir Muhammad bin Ahmad al-Dhahli, and no hadith scholar has pointed out any flaw in its chain or text. However, some Imams have rejected this hadith, saying that these (words are not actually a hadith but) are the words of Sharik bin Abdullah himself, and they have attributed the similarity found in these words to Thabit bin Musa al-Dhabi. Abu Bakr Muhammad bin Ali al-Ghazi al-Mutawi, resident of Makkah, narrated to us "by way of ijazah" that Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Hakim said: Qadi Sharik bin Abdullah was present in a hadith gathering, and the person who would dictate to the people after listening from him was in front of him. So Sharik read the chain of a hadith (and had only reached this point) and had not yet narrated the text of the hadith, when Thabit bin Musa entered the gathering. Upon seeing him, considering his asceticism and piety, Sharik said: "Whoever offers many voluntary prayers at night, his face becomes very radiant during the day." From this statement, Thabit bin Musa understood that the words Sharik had read with the chain were the text of the hadith, so based on his understanding, he would narrate these words as a hadith with Sharik's chain, although there is no basis for this hadith from that chain. And for this reason, some weak narrators, having stolen this hadith from Thabit bin Musa, narrated it from Qadi Sharik as a hadith. The reality is that this hadith is narrated through many chains, and also from many reliable narrators besides Thabit bin Musa and Qadi Sharik. Some of those chains are as follows.
