Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zubair (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) delivered a sermon at this very place of mine and said: “Honor my companions, then those who come after them, then those who come after them. Then falsehood will become apparent and such people will become widespread that each of them will give testimony though it will not be sought from him, and he will swear an oath though it will not be requested from him. So whoever likes the center of Paradise should adhere to the congregation, for indeed the devil is with the one who is alone and is farther from two. So no man should sit in seclusion with a woman, for the third among them is the devil. And whoever is grieved by his evil deed and pleased by his good deed, then he is a believer.”

Brief Explanation
Benefit: It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar radi Allahu anhu that Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab radi Allahu anhu, while delivering a sermon at the place of Jabiyah, said that the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam also stood among us in the same way as I am standing among you, and he sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said: "I advise you to treat my Companions well, then those who come after them, then those who come after them. Then falsehood will become widespread, to the extent that a man will give testimony before being asked, and will swear an oath before being requested. So whoever among you desires the center of Paradise, let him adhere to the congregation (jama‘ah), for indeed, the devil is with the solitary person and is farther from two. And none of you should be alone with a woman, for the third among them is the devil. And whoever is pleased by his good deed and grieved by his bad deed, then he is a believer."
