It is narrated from Sayyiduna Nu’man bin Bashir (may Allah be pleased with them both) that indeed the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ascended the pulpit and said: “Whoever does not give thanks for a little, will not give thanks for much, and whoever does not thank people, does not thank Allah.”

Brief Explanation
Explanation: -
The meaning is that a person who possesses the quality of gratitude and thankfulness will express gratitude everywhere, whether he receives little or much, whether someone has done him a small favor or a great one—he will give thanks for every blessing and every favor. He will express gratitude to his true Benefactor, Allah Ta'ala, as well as to the people who became a means and intermediary for him. And as for the person who is deprived of the quality of gratitude and thankfulness, how can it be expected from him that he will thank anyone? For ingratitude is ingrained in his habit, and one in whose habit ingratitude is present does not express gratitude even for much, let alone for little. In front of such a person, let alone people, he will not even be grateful to his true Benefactor, Allah Ta'ala.
