37 - أنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي الْعَوَّامِ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ الْإِسْكَنْدَرَانِيُّ، بِمَكَّةَ، ثنا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ الطَّحَاوِيُّ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ أَبِي دَاوُدَ، ثنا الْخَطَّابُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ الْفَوْزِيُّ، ثنا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْمُبَارَكِ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «الْبَرَكَةُ مَعَ أَكَابِرِكُمْ»
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Blessing is with your elders."

Explanation – Blessing is with your elders. The meaning is that you should respect and honor your elders, seniors, and prominent figures, benefit from their opinions and experience, and give them precedence, because they are a source of goodness and blessing for you. Among the elders are included the people of knowledge and wisdom, as well as those who are older in age, because due to their greater age, they are ahead in righteous deeds and possess more experience.
