Brief Explanation
Benefit: The renowned trustworthy Tabi‘i, Imam Hasan al-Basri rahimahullah, states: There are two types of hungry, greedy people who are never satisfied: one who is greedy for knowledge—he is never satiated by it; and the other who is greedy for the world—he is never satiated by it. Whoever remains concerned and mindful of the Hereafter, Allah ta‘ala suffices for his affairs and instills contentment in his heart. But whoever remains concerned and mindful of the world, Allah ta‘ala makes his affairs dark and troubled, and places poverty before his eyes; then he remains poor morning and evening.
