317 - أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عُمَرَ الصَّفَّارُ، أبنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ، ثنا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْجُعْفِيُّ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ ظُهَيْرٍ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْفُرَاتِ، عَنْ مُحَارِبٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " الْقُضَاةُ ثَلَاثَةٌ: قَاضِيَانِ فِي النَّارِ وَقَاضٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ. قَاضٍ قَضَى بِغَيْرِ مَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ فَهُوَ فِي النَّارِ، وَقَاضٍ قَضَى بِالْهَوَى فَهُوَ فِي النَّارِ، وَقَاضٍ قَضَى بِمَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ فَهُوَ فِي الْجَنَّةِ "
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “There are three types of judges: two are in Hell and one is in Paradise. The judge who gives a verdict contrary to what Allah has revealed is in Hell, and the judge who gives a verdict according to his desires is also in Hell, and the judge who gives a verdict according to what Allah has revealed is in Paradise.”
