Sayyiduna Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he (peace be upon him) said: "The trustworthy treasurer who gives that which he has been commanded to give (in the way of Allah) with a cheerful heart, he too is counted among those who give charity."
Explanation: From this blessed hadith, it is understood that any servant among the attendants who, in accordance with his master's command, gives charity and alms in the way of Allah with sincerity and honesty, will receive the same reward as the master is to receive. This is because sometimes it happens that a master instructs his servant to give charity, but the servant, instead, displays miserliness and stinginess, and by frightening his master with the fear of poverty and need, advises him not to give charity. Or, he does not give the full amount as per the master's command, but gives less, or he does not give it with a cheerful heart. So, when he does not act in such a manner, but rather fulfills his master's command with complete honesty and joy of heart, then in the sight of Allah, he too will be counted among those who give charity, because he also became a means and a cause for it. However, it should be remembered that all this pertains to a Muslim servant; a disbeliever is not included in this. For in one narration it is stated: "A trustworthy Muslim treasurer who gives, with a cheerful heart, that which he has been commanded to give, is counted among those who give charity." [بخاري : 1438]
