299 - رَوَى أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْبَيْعُ الْحَافِظُ فِي كِتَابِ فَضَائِلِ الشَّافِعِيِّ، ثنا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الصَّغَانِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو رَجَاءٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَمْدَوَيْهِ، ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ، ثنا أَبُو غَسَّانَ الْقَاضِي أَيُّوبُ بْنُ يُونُسَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ إِيَاسِ بْنِ مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ: كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ فِي فُسْطَاطٍ إِذْ جَاءَهُ السَّائِبُ بْنُ عَبْدِ يَزِيدَ وَمَعَهُ ابْنُهُ فَنَظَرَ إِلَيْهِمَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَقَالَ: «مِنْ سَعَادَةِ الْمَرْءِ أَنْ يُشْبِهَ أَبَاهُ»
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was once sitting in a tent when Sa’ib bin ‘Abd Yazid came to him, and with him was his son. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) looked at both of them and said: “It is among a person’s good fortune that he resembles his father.”
