It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that indeed the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The Ansar are my sincere companions and confidants."
Explanation: In this blessed hadith, the virtue of the Ansar has been described. The Noble Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam has declared them to be his sincere and trusted companions and confidants. The Ansar refers to the tribes of Aws and Khazraj settled in Madinah, who had believed in the Noble Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam and assisted him in every possible way. Allah Ta'ala has, in the Noble Qur'an, mentioned the praise of this sacred group after the Muhajirun, and in the ahadith as well, their great virtues have been described. See: Sahih Bukhari, Book of the Virtues of the Ansar, and other books of hadith.
