Brief Explanation
Explanation:
In this blessed hadith, there is great glad tidings for the sinners of the Ummah of Muhammad that on the Day of Resurrection, the Noble Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam will intercede on their behalf. This intercession of yours will be for their deliverance and salvation from punishment. However, this glad tidings does not mean that a person should become emboldened in committing sins relying on hope; rather, he should keep the aspect of fear predominant and stay away from sins as much as possible, because intercession will take place on the Day of Resurrection, and before that, the stage of the grave is extremely difficult—what will happen there? And furthermore, it is also not known how long it will take for the intercession to be accepted. It is mentioned in the blessed hadith: “A group will come out of Hell by the intercession of Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam; they will enter Paradise and their name will be ‘Jahannamiyyun’.”

Regarding intercession, it should also be remembered that it will only be for those people for whom Allah, the Exalted, grants permission; without the permission of Allah, the Exalted, no one will intercede on behalf of anyone. There is no intercession for those who commit major shirk (shirk akbar) and such disbelief (kufr) that expels one from the religion of Islam, nor is there intercession for the hypocrite in creed (i'tiqadi munafiq).
