Rashid Hijri narrates from his father, who said that Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) was asked: Tell us the hadith that you heard from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), so he said: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "A Muslim is the one from whose tongue and hand other Muslims are safe."

Brief Explanation
Benefit: ‘Amir Sha‘mi says that a man came to Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Amr radi Allahu anhu while people were sitting with him. The man began to step over their necks, so the people stopped him. Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah radi Allahu anhu said: Leave him. He came and sat near him and said: Tell me a hadith which you have preserved from the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. So he (radi Allahu anhu) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam say: “A Muslim is the one from whose tongue and hand other Muslims are safe, and a muhajir (emigrant) is the one who abandons what Allah has forbidden.” (Ahmad: 193/2, Sahih)
