164 - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عُمَرَ التُّجِيبِيُّ، أبنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ الْأَعْرَابِيُّ قَالَ: ثنا أَبُو خُرَاسَانَ هُوَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ السَّكَنِ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا رِشْدِينُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ الْمَهْرِيُّ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ رِفَاعَةَ الْعِجْلِيِّ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْحَمِقِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «الْإِيمَانُ قَيَّدَ الْفَتْكَ، مَنْ أَمَّنَ رَجُلًا عَلَى دَمِهِ فَقَتَلَهُ فَأَنَا بَرِئٌ مِنَ الْقَاتِلِ وَإِنْ كَانَ الْمَقْتُولُ كَافِرًا»
Sayyiduna Amr bin Humaq (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Faith has forbidden killing by deception. Whoever grants safety to a man regarding his blood and then kills him, I am free from the killer, even if the slain was a disbeliever.”

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah radi Allahu anhu that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said: “Faith has stopped deceitful killing; no believer should kill (anyone) deceitfully.” [ابوداؤد : 2769، حسن]
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Rifa‘ah bin Shaddad, who says: If I had not heard this hadith from Sayyiduna ‘Amr bin Humaq radi Allahu anhu, I would certainly have walked between the head and body (i.e., beheaded) of Mukhtar bin ‘Ubayd al-Thaqafi (by killing him). I heard Sayyiduna ‘Amr bin Humaq radi Allahu anhu say that the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said: “Whoever grants a man safety for his blood, then kills him, he will come on the Day of Resurrection carrying the banner of the treacherous.” [ابن ماجه : 2688،صحيح]
