It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Modesty is part of faith." And Imam Muslim has also narrated with his chain from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) heard a man advising his brother about modesty, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Modesty is part of faith."

Brief Explanation
Explanation:
The Ansari who was advising his brother was himself a paragon of modesty (haya). Such a person is not usually very sharp or aggressive in worldly matters, because modesty prevents a person from wrongdoing, deceit, fraud, and cunning, etc. For this reason, the Ansari was unjustifiably angry with his brother and was scolding him. Accordingly, in Sahih Bukhari, the words of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar radi Allahu anhu are as follows: The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam passed by a man who was being reproached by his brother because of his modesty, and was saying, "You are too modest," as if he was saying, "You are harming yourself because of this." So the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said to him: "Leave him, for indeed modesty is part of faith."
