1496 - أَخْبَرَنَا هِبَةُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْخَوْلَانِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ، ثنا أَبُو عُمَرَ السَّمَرْقَنْدِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو أُمَيَّةَ، ثنا قَبِيصَةُ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ طَلْقِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: كَانَ مِنْ دُعَاءِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «رَبِّ تَقَبَّلْ تَوْبَتِي وَاغْسِلْ حَوْبَتِي وَأَجِبْ دَعْوَتِي»
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that among the supplications of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was this: "O Lord! Accept my repentance, wash away my sins, and accept my supplication."

The complete supplication is as follows: « رَبِّ أَعِنِّي وَلَا تُعِنْ عَلَيَّ ، وَانْصُرْنِي وَلَا تَنْصُرْ عَلَيَّ ، وَامْكُرْ لِي وَلَا تَمْكُرْ عَلَيَّ ، وَاهْدِنِي وَيَسِّرِ الْهُدَى لِي ، وَانْصُرْنِي عَلَى مَنْ بَغَى عَلَيَّ . رَبِّ اجْعَلْنِي لَكَ شَكَّارًا ، لَكَ ذَكَّارًا ، لَكَ رَهَّابًا ، لَكَ مُطِيعًا ، إِلَيْكَ مُخْبِتًا ، إِلَيْكَ أَوَّاهًا مُنِيبًا ، رَبِّ تَقَبَّلْ تَوْبَتِي ، وَاغْسِلْ حَوْبَتِي ، وَأَجِبْ دَعْوَتِي ، وَاهْدِ قَلْبِي ، وَسَدِّدْ لِسَانِي ، وَثَبِّتْ حُجَّتِي ، وَاسْلُلْ سَخِيمَةَ قَلْبِي» [ابن ماجه : 3830]
“O my Lord! Help me and do not help (the enemy) against me. And support me and do not support (the enemy) against me. And plan for me and do not plan against me. And grant me guidance and make guidance easy for me. And help me against the one who transgresses against me. O my Lord! Make me one who is greatly thankful to You, one who remembers You much, one who greatly fears You, one who is greatly obedient to You, one who humbles himself before You, one who constantly turns back to You. O my Lord! Accept my repentance, wash away my sins, accept my supplication, guide my heart, keep my tongue straight, make my proof (firm and) established, and remove malice from my heart.”
