1444 - أَخْبَرَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْغَازِي، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي الْمَوْتِ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الصَّائِغُ، قَالَ: ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، ثنا ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، حَدَّثَنِي حَيْوَةُ بْنُ شُرَيْحٍ، عَنْ بَكْرِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، عَنِ ابْنِ هُبَيْرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي تَمِيمٍ الْجَيْشَانِيِّ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «لَوْ أَنَّكُمْ تَتَوَكَّلُونَ عَلَى اللَّهِ حَقَّ تَوَكُّلِهِ لَرَزَقَكُمْ كَمَا يَرْزُقُ الطَّيْرَ تَغْدُو خِمَاصًا وَتَرُوحُ بِطَانًا»
Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said: "If you truly put your trust in Allah as He deserves to be trusted, He would provide for you as He provides for the birds: they go out hungry in the morning and return full in the evening."
