لَوْلَا أَنَّ السُّؤَّالَ يَكْذِبُونَ مَا قُدِّسَ مَنْ رَدَّهُمْIf it were not that beggars lie, no one who turned them away would be sanctified

1428 - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْمُقْرِئُ، ثنا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الضِّرَابُ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَرْوَانَ، ثنا عَبَّاسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الدُّورِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ الْقُرَشِيُّ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ رُومَانَ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: «لَوْلَا أَنَّ السُّؤَالَ يَكْذِبُونَ مَا قُدِّسَ مَنْ رَدَّهُمْ»
Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates from the Prophet (peace be upon him) that he said: "If the beggars did not lie, those who send them back empty-handed would never be safe from punishment."
