142 - أنا هِبَةُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْخَوْلَانِيُّ، أنا أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ جَابِرٍ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ ذَبَانَ، ثنا أَبُو الطَّاهِرِ بْنُ السَّرْحِ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ دَرَّاجٍ أَبِي السَّمْحِ، عَنْ أَبِي الْهَيْثَمِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «الشِّتَاءُ رَبِيعُ الْمُؤْمِنِ»
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The winter season is the spring for the believer."

Ubayd bin Umair (a trustworthy Tabi‘i) says: When the winter season would come, it would be said: "O people of the Qur’an! The nights have become long for your prayers and the days have become short for your fasts. Therefore, consider it a windfall." [المصنف لا بن ابي شيبه 36138 وسنده صحيح]
