1390 - أنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ، أنا الْقَاضِي أَبُو طَاهِرٍ، نا مُوسَى بْنُ هَارُونَ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، حَدَّثَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ طَهْمَانٍ، عَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ بْنِ الْحَجَّاجِ الْبَاهِلِيِّ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْحَمِقِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِذَا أَرَادَ اللَّهُ بِعَبْدٍ خَيْرًا اسْتَعْمَلَهُ» قِيلَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ كَيْفَ يَسْتَعْمِلُهُ؟ قَالَ: «يَهْدِيهِ لِعَمَلٍ صَالِحٍ قَبْلَ مَوْتِهِ»
Sayyiduna Amr bin Humaq (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When Allah intends good for a servant, He employs him." It was asked: O Messenger of Allah! How does He employ him? He said: "He guides him to a righteous deed before his death."
