1389 - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ الْكَاتِبُ، أبنا أَبُو بَكْرٍ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ الْأَشْعَثَ الْأَزْدِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُصَفًّى، ثنا بَقِيَّةُ، وَحَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ، عَنْ أَبِي عِنَبَةَ الْخَوْلَانِيِّ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «إِنَّ اللَّهَ إِذَا أَرَادَ بِعَبْدٍ خَيْرًا عَسَلَهُ» ، قَالُوا: وَمَا عَسَلَهُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ؟ قَالَ: «يُفْتَحُ لَهُ عَمَلًا صَالِحًا فَيَقْبِضُهُ عَلَيْهِ»
Sayyiduna Abu Anbasah Khawlani رضي الله عنه narrates from the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم that he صلى الله عليه وسلم said: "Indeed, when Allah intends good for a servant, He makes him honey." The companions asked: O Messenger of Allah! What is meant by making him honey? He replied: "He opens for him the door of righteous deeds. Then He seizes his soul while he is upon that (righteous deed)."
