1384 - أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ، ثنا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ سَهْلِ بْنِ الْمَرْزُبَانِ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْأَنْبَارِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو عِيسَى مُسْلِمُ بْنُ عِيسَى، ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الْخُرَيْبِيُّ، ثنا الْمَسْعُودِيُّ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَا مَثَلِي وَمَثَلُ الدُّنْيَا إِلَّا كَرَاكِبٍ قَالَ فِي ظِلِّ شَجَرَةٍ ثُمَّ رَاحَ وَتَرْكَهَا»
Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "My example and the example of this world is just like that of a rider who rested for a while under the shade of a tree on a very hot day at noon, then left it and moved on."
