Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The example of a good companion is like that of a perfume seller; even if you do not get any of his perfume, you will surely experience its fragrance. And the example of a bad companion is like that of a blacksmith; even if his sparks do not burn you, his smoke will surely trouble you."
