Sayyiduna Ubayy bin Ka'b رضي الله عنه narrates from the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم that he صلى الله عليه وسلم said: "The example of a believer is like a young plant of a crop which the winds keep turning this way and that; sometimes it is bent down and sometimes it is made straight. And the example of a disbeliever is like a pine tree which stands straight, its root is not separated (from the ground) until it is uprooted all at once."

Brief Explanation
Explanation: -
The sequence of trials continues for both the believer (mu’min) and the hypocrite (munafiq) like the winds, but the one who is affected by them is only the believer. Whenever any calamity befalls him from Allah Ta’ala, he reviews his way of life to see whether he has committed any disobedience to Allah Ta’ala for which he is being punished. Every physical, mental, and financial trial brings him the same message: turn your attention to Allah Ta’ala and do not become distant from Him. But the hypocrite, like a tree with a strong trunk, is not affected by these trials; he neither cares for the blessings of Allah Ta’ala nor for His punishments, until one day a great calamity suddenly befalls him and the evening of his life arrives.
Suddenly it fell, and even its roots were uprooted— That tree which was never seen swaying in the storm.
