Hadith 1352

Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The example of my Ummah is like that of rain; it is not known whether there is goodness in its beginning or in its end."

Brief Explanation
Explanation:
These ahadith indicate that the entire Ummah of Muhammad is better than others and contains goodness and virtue. Just as, regarding rain that falls as needed and in due measure, it is difficult to say which part was beneficial and which was useless—whether its beginning was beneficial or its end—the entire rainfall is considered beneficial. In the same way, there is goodness and virtue in the whole Ummah: among the noble Companions (Sahabah) as well as among the true Muslims who will come after them until the Day of Judgment. Each has served the religion in different ways and benefited it according to their own capacity. Although there is no doubt that the Companions (radi Allahu anhum) are superior to all others, no believer is useless or devoid of goodness and virtue.
