135 - وأنا ابْنُ السِّمْسَارِ، ثنا أَبُو زَيْدٍ، ثنا الْفَرَبْرِيُّ، ثنا الْبُخَارِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ، ثنا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، بِإِسْنَادِهِ مِثْلَهُ. وَفِيهِ: «وَشَبَّكَ بَيْنَ أَصَابِعِهِ»
This hadith is also narrated from Abu Usamah through another chain in the same manner, and in it, it is mentioned that the Prophet (peace be upon him), to explain, interlaced the fingers of one hand with the fingers of the other hand and showed it.

In this blessed hadith, Muslims are given a lesson in unity by being likened to a building: just as in a structure, one brick strengthens another, and then all the bricks, by being joined together, fortify the entire building, so too are Muslims, who are helpers and supporters of one another. To illustrate this, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam interlaced the fingers of one hand with those of the other, showing that Muslims are interconnected and united with one another just like these fingers.
