1349 - أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْمُعَدِّلُ، أبنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ جَامِعٍ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا مُعَلَّى بْنُ أَسَدٍ، ثنا عِيسَى بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ، ثنا بَكْرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْمُزَنِيُّ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «مَثَلُ أُمَّتِي كَالْمَطَرِ لَا يُدْرَى أَوَّلُهُ خَيْرٌ أُمْ آخِرُهُ»
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said: "The example of my Ummah is like that of rain; it is not known whether there is goodness in its beginning or in its end."
