مَثَلُ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي مَثَلُ سَفِينَةِ نُوحٍ مَنْ رَكِبَ فِيهَا نَجَا وَمَنْ تَخَلَّفَ عَنْهَا غَرِقَThe example of my family is like the Ark of Noah; whoever boards it is saved, and whoever stays behind is drowned

1342 - أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي الْعَبَّاسِ الْمَالِكِيُّ، أبنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ جَامِعٍ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الصَّهْبَاءِ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَثَلُ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي مَثَلُ سَفِينَةِ نُوحٍ مَنْ رَكِبَ فِيهَا نَجَا، وَمَنْ تَخَلَّفَ عَنْهَا غَرِقَ»
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The example of my Ahl al-Bayt is like the Ark of Noah; whoever boarded it was saved, and whoever remained behind was drowned."
