1332 - أنا مَكِّيُّ بْنُ نَظِيفٍ الزَّجَّاجُ، أنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ الرَّزَّازُ، نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ الْخُزَاعِيُّ، أنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُؤَمَّلِ الْعَدَوِيُّ، نا وُرَيْزَةُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْغَسَّانِيُّ، نا عَمْرُو بْنُ عُثْمَانَ، نا بَقِيَّةُ، نا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَالِمٍ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ سُلَيْمٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ نُفَيْرٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ الْمِقْدَادِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، قَالَ: لَا آمَنُ عَلَى أَحَدٍ بَعْدَ الَّذِي سَمِعْتُ مِنَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ: وَذَكَرَهُ
Sayyiduna Miqdad bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) says that after what I heard from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), I do not trust anyone. I heard him say... and he narrated this hadith.
Brief Explanation
Explanation: -
The matter of the heart is also strange; in one moment it is here, and in the next moment it is there. It does not take long for it to turn; it can turn at any time and in any direction. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said: "All the hearts of the children of Adam are between two fingers of the Most Merciful, like a single heart. He turns them however He wills." Then the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said: "O Allah! Turner of the hearts! Turn our hearts towards Your obedience." [مسلم : 2654]
