1265 - وَأَنَاهُ هِبَةُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْخَوْلَانِيُّ أنا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ، عُمَرُ بْنُ عِرَاكٍ، نا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَجَّاجِ بْنِ رِشْدِينَ، نا أَبُو الطَّاهِرِ، أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ السَّرْحِ، حَدَّثَنِي رِشْدِينُ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَنْعَمَ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْحُبُلِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «الدُّنْيَا مَتَاعٌ وَأَفْضَلُ مَتَاعِ الدُّنْيَا امْرَأَةٌ صَالِحَةٌ» وَرَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ الْهَمْدَانِيِّ، نَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، نَا حَيْوَةُ، أَخْبَرَنِي شُرَحْبِيلُ بْنُ شَرِيكٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْحُبُلِيَّ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «الدُّنْيَا مَتَاعٌ وَخَيْرُ مَتَاعِ الدُّنْيَا الْمَرْأَةُ الصَّالِحَةُ»
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with both of them) narrates from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The world is a provision, and the best provision of the world is a righteous woman." Muslim has also narrated it with his chain from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with both of them) that indeed the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The world is a provision, and the best provision of the world is a righteous woman."

In this hadith, it is stated that a righteous wife is the best blessing in the world because she proves to be not only a good advisor to her husband in worldly matters but also cooperates with her husband in matters of the Hereafter. Therefore, if a person desires success in this world and the Hereafter, he should give preference to religious commitment when choosing a woman; he should not look merely at beauty, lineage, or wealth, but should give precedence to religion. The noble statement of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is: “A woman is married for four reasons: for her wealth, for her lineage, for her beauty, and for her religion.
