1209 - أنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ، أنا الْقَاضِي أَبُو طَاهِرٍ، مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ، نا مُوسَى بْنُ هَارُونَ، نا هَارُونُ بْنُ مَعْرُوفٍ، نا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، أَنَّ عُثَيْمَ بْنَ نِسْطَاسٍ، مَوْلَى كَثِيرِ بْنِ الصَّلْتِ حَدَّثَنِي عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ لَيْسَ الْغِنَى عَنْ كَثْرَةِ الْعَرَضِ، وَلَكِنَّ الْغِنَى غِنَى النَّفْسِ، ثُمَّ إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى يُوَفِّي كُلَّ عَبْدٍ مَا كَتَبَ لَهُ مِنَ الرِّزْقِ، فَأَجْمِلُوا فِي الطَّلَبِ، خُذُوا مَا حَلَّ وَدَعُوا مَا حَرُمَ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that indeed the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "O people! Abundance of possessions is not wealth; true wealth is the richness of the heart. Then indeed Allah, Blessed and Exalted, will give every servant his complete sustenance that He has written for him, so seek sustenance in a good manner, take what is lawful and leave what is unlawful."
