1189 - أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْمَعَافِرِيُّ، أبنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ فَهْدٍ، أبنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُطَرِّفٍ الْبَسْتِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ، ثنا ابْنُ جَمِيلٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي كَيْسَانُ وَهُوَ أَبُو دَهْثَمِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الْهُجَيْمِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو زَيْدٍ، قُمَامَةُ الْهِزَّانِيُّ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ أَبِي حُمَيْدٍ، قَالَ: خَطَبَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ فِي خُطْبَتِهِ: «لَيْسَ بَعْدَ الْمَوْتِ مُسْتَعْتَبٌ»
Sayyiduna Abu Humayd (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said while delivering a sermon: "After death, there is no opportunity to seek repentance."
