1112 - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْقُبَابُ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ النُّعْمَانِ، ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، ثنا أَبُو ذَرٍّ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: «إِنَّ اللَّهَ جَعَلَ لِي الْأَرْضَ مَسْجِدًا وَطَهُورًا»
Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said: "Indeed, Allah has made the entire earth a mosque and a means of purification for me."
Brief Explanation
Benefit:
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah radi Allahu anhu that indeed the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said: "I have been given five things which were not given to anyone before me: I have been helped by awe (ru‘b) from a distance of one month's journey, and the entire earth has been made a mosque (masjid) and a means of purification (taharah) for me, so any person from my ummah who finds the time for prayer (salah) should perform the prayer wherever he is; and war booty (mal-e-ghanīmah) has been made lawful for me, which was not lawful for anyone before me; and I have been granted intercession (shafa‘ah); and all the Prophets were sent only to their own people, but I have been sent as a Prophet to all mankind." [بخاري : 335]
