Hadith 1111

Sayyiduna Salman al-Farsi (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, your Lord is Most Modest and Generous. He feels shy from His servant when he raises his hands towards Him to return them empty."

Brief Explanation
Explanation:
① Allah Ta'ala accepts every supplication (dua) of the servant, provided that there is no such reason present which becomes an obstacle in the way of acceptance. However, the effect of acceptance sometimes becomes manifest in this world and sometimes in the Hereafter.
② At the time of supplication (dua), both hands should be raised.
③ In this hadith, there is affirmation of the attribute of 'Uluww (Highness) of Allah Ta'ala, meaning that He, in His Essence, is established above the Throne (Arsh); He is not present everywhere. However, His knowledge, power, and mercy encompass everything.
