وأنا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ، ثنا ابْنُ الْأَعْرَابِيِّ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ، هُوَ ابْنُ سَعِيدٍ، ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، حَدَّثَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ وَهْبٍ، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ جَابِرًا أَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ «الْحَرْبُ خُدْعَةٌ» ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ
Wahb (may Allah have mercy on him) says: I asked Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him): Did the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say that war is (the name of) deception? He said: Yes.
