1050 - أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عُمَرَ الشَّاهِدُ، أبنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ جَامِعٍ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، ثنا دَاوُدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْأَوْدِيُّ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبِي، يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، يَقُولُ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «تَدْرُونَ مَا أَكْثَرُ مَا يُدْخِلُ النَّاسَ النَّارَ؟» قَالُوا: اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ، قَالَ: «فَإِنَّ أَكْثَرَ مَا يُدْخِلُ النَّاسَ النَّارَ الْأَجْوَفَانِ الْفَمُ وَالْفَرْجُ، تَدْرُونَ مَا أَكْثَرُ مَا يُدْخِلُ النَّاسَ الْجَنَّةَ؟» قَالُوا: اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ، قَالَ: «فَإِنَّ أَكْثَرَ مَا يُدْخِلُ النَّاسَ الْجَنَّةَ تَقْوَى اللَّهِ وَحُسْنُ الْخُلُقِ»
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Do you know what thing will cause most people to enter Hell?” The Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) said: “Allah and His Messenger know best.” He said: “Indeed, the thing that will cause most people to enter Hell is the two hollow things: the mouth and the private parts. Do you know what thing will cause most people to enter Paradise?” The Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) said: “Allah and His Messenger know best.” He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Indeed, the thing that will cause most people to enter Paradise is the fear of Allah and good character.”

Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah radi Allahu anhu narrates that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was asked: "Which deed will admit the most people into Paradise?" He replied: "Taqwa (God-consciousness) and good character." It was asked: "Which thing will take the most people into Hellfire?" He replied: "The two hollow things: the mouth and the private parts." [ابن ماجه : 4246 ، قال شيخناعلي زئي : إسناده صحيح]
