It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that indeed the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Every prophet has a supplication, and I, insha’Allah, intend to keep my supplication hidden so that I may intercede for my ummah on the Day of Resurrection."

Brief Explanation
Explanation: - Our Sheikh, Hafiz Zubair Ali Zai rahimahullah, states:
① The intercession (shafa‘ah) of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam for his Ummah (Muslims), by the permission of Allah, is a truth. The following Companions have also narrated this: Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik radi Allahu anhu [صحيح بخاري : 6305 ، صحيح مسلم : 200], Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah radi Allahu anhu ([صحيح مسلم : 201]), Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin al-As radi Allahu anhu ([صحيح مسلم : 202]), Sayyiduna Ka‘b bin ‘Ujrah radi Allahu anhu [الشريعة اللآ جري : ص 338 ، ح780 ، وسنده صحيح], Sayyiduna Abu Sa‘id al-Khudri radi Allahu anhu [أحمد : 12 ، 11/2 ، وسنده حسن ، ابن ماجه : 4280 ، صححه الحاكم على شرط مسلم : 2/ 585 , 586], Sayyidah Umm Habibah radi Allahu anha [المستدرك للحاكم : 1/ 28 ج 227 ، وسنده صحيح وصححه الحاكم على شرط الشيخين و وافقه الذهبي], and others. Rather, the hadith regarding intercession is mutawatir (mass-transmitted). See Nazm al-Mutanathir lil-Kattani (H: 304).
② The Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was extremely merciful to his Ummah, and Allah sent him as a mercy to the worlds.
③ Every Prophet had a supplication that was certainly accepted, and the Prophet also had knowledge of this supplication.
④ Allah the Exalted granted the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam superiority over all the Prophets.
⑤ Any Muslim who does not commit shirk (polytheism) or kufr (disbelief), even if he is greatly sinful, will not remain in Hell forever [الاتحاف الباسم ص : 414 ، 415].
