إِنَّ لِكُلِّ نَبِيٍّ دَعْوَةً، وَإِنِّي اخْتَبَأْتُ دَعْوَتِي شَفَاعَةً لِأُمَّتِي يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِEvery prophet has a supplication, and I have kept my supplication as intercession for my nation on the Day of Resurrection
Hadith 1041

1041 - أنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ، أنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ رَشِيقٍ، نا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، نا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «لِكُلِّ نَبِيٍّ دَعْوَةٌ يَدْعُو بِهَا تُسْتَجَابُ لَهُ، وَأُرِيدُ أَنْ أَخْتَبِئَ دَعْوَتِي شَفَاعَةً لِأُمَّتِي فِي الْآخِرَةِ»
Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) that he (peace be upon him) said: "Every prophet has a supplication which, when he makes it, is accepted, and I intend to reserve my supplication for interceding on behalf of my ummah in the Hereafter."
