Brief Explanation
Explanation: -
Those people who remain engaged in the race to accumulate wealth and riches, for them this wealth truly becomes a trial and a tribulation. As a result, such individuals begin to display great laziness in acts of worship, ethics, and dealings. Among the diseases that afflict such greedy people is that they adopt all kinds of lawful and unlawful means to amass wealth—for example, they resort to the path of usury (riba), upon the prohibition of which there is consensus (ijma‘) of the Ummah, as well as deception, fraud, etc.

However, for those who earn through lawful (halal) means and spend in lawful places, wealth is not a tribulation but rather a great blessing. This is because such people remain engaged in supporting their families and are always in search of deserving relatives, the poor, and the needy, so that they may help them through charity (sadaqah) and almsgiving (khayrat).

These people invest their wealth together with others to establish institutions, factories, and industries, etc., in which the general public may find employment and means of livelihood. Similarly, they spend their wealth for public welfare. Thus, for such people, wealth is not a trial but a great blessing from Allah; Allah places blessing (barakah) in it and increases it as well.
