Hadith 1303
1303 - حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَي قَالَ: ثنا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ قَالَ: ثنا سُفْيَانُ، قَالَ: ثني عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، يَقُولُ: «أَتَي النَّبِيُّ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ امْرَأَةً مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ، فَرَشَّتْ لَهُ صُورًا لَهَا، وَالصُّورُ النَّخْلَاتُ الْمُجْتَمِعَاتُ، وَذَبَحَتْ لَهُ شَاةً، فَأَكَلَ مِنْهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ثُمَّ جَاءَتْ صَلَاةُ الظُّهْرِ، فَقَامَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَتَوَضَّأَ، ثُمَّ صَلَّي الظُّهْرَ، ثُمَّ أُتِيَ بِعُلَالَةِ الشَّاةِ، فَأَكَلَ مِنْهَا، ثُمَّ قَامَ إِلَي الْعَصْرِ وَلَمْ يَتَوَضَّأْ» ، ثُمَّ أَتَيْتُ أَبَا بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقَ، فَقَالَ لِأَهْلِهِ: هَلْ عِنْدَكُمْ شَيْءٌ؟ قَالُوا: لَا، قَالَ: فَأَيْنَ شَاتُكُمُ الْوَالِدُ؟ فَأُتِيَ بِهَا فَحَلَبَهَا وَجَعَلَ لَنَا مِنْهُ لَبْأَ، فَأَكَلَ مِنْهُ وَأَكَلْنَا، ثُمَّ قَامَ إِلَي الصَّلَاةِ فَصَلَّي، وَلَمْ يَتَوَضَّأْ، ثُمَّ أَتَيْتُ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ، فَأُتِيَ بِجَفْنَتَيْنِ، فَجُعِلَتْ إِحْدَاهُمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ وَالْأُخْرَي مِنْ خَلْفِهِ، فَأَكَلَ وَأَكَلْنَا، ثُمَّ صَلَّي وَلَمْ يَتَوَضَّأْ
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to an Ansari woman. She presented various kinds of dates to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). She also slaughtered a goat for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ate from its meat. Then, when the time for the Zuhr prayer came, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stood up, performed ablution, and offered the Zuhr prayer. Then the remaining meat of that goat was brought, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ate some of it. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stood up to offer the Asr prayer, but he did not perform ablution again. Then I went to Sayyiduna Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him), and he asked his wife: "Do you have anything?" She replied: "No." Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) asked: "Where is that goat of yours which is about to give birth?" So that goat was brought, and he milked it. He gave us its milk. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) drank it, and we also drank it. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stood up for prayer, offered the prayer, and did not perform ablution again. Then I went to Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him), and two vessels were brought there. One was placed in front of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and the other behind him. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also ate from them, and we also ate. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) offered the prayer and did not perform ablution again.
