Hadith 1301
1301 - حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ قَالَ: ثنا سُفْيَانُ، قَالَ: ثنا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ: «كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَغْرِفُ عَلَي رَأْسِهِ ثَلَاثًا وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ»
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that when the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) was in a state of major ritual impurity (janabah), he (while performing ghusl) would pour water over his head with both hands three times.
