Hadith 1267
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A child was born in a certain tribe, so his father named him "Qasim." We said to his father: We will not give you the kunya "Abu al-Qasim" and we will not cool your eyes (i.e., make you happy with this kunya). So his father went to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to him: "Name your son Abdur Rahman."
