Hadith 1216
1216 - حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ قَالَ: ثنا سُفْيَانُ، قَالَ: ثنا الزُّهْرِيُّ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ، يَقُولُ: قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْمَدِينَةَ وَأَنَا ابْنُ عَشْرِ سِنِينَ، وَمَاتَ وَأَنَا ابْنُ عِشْرِينَ سَنَةً، وَكُنَّ أُمَّهَاتِي يَحْثُثْنِي عَلَي خِدْمَتِهِ، فَدَخَلَ عَلَيْنَا دَارَنَا، فَحَلَبْنَا لَهُ مِنْ شَاةٍ لَنَا دَاجِنٍ، وَشِيبَ لَهُ بِمَاءٍ فِي بِئْرٍ فِي الدَّارِ، فَشَرِبَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ، وَأَعْرَابِيٌّ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ، وَعُمَرُ نَاحِيتَهُ، فَقَالَ عُمَرُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ نَاوِلْ أَبَا بَكْرٍ، فَنَاوَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْأَعْرَابِيَّ، وَقَالَ: «الْأَيْمَنُ فَالْأَيْمَنُ»
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: When the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) arrived in Madinah, I was a boy of ten years. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed away, I was a boy of twenty years. My mother and my maternal aunts used to encourage me to serve the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Then once, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to our house. We milked our pet goat for him and mixed it with water from the well in the house, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) drank it. On the left of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him), and on his right was a Bedouin, while Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) was in a corner. Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: O Messenger of Allah! (Before the Bedouin) give your leftover milk to Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him). So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), while giving it to the Bedouin, said: "The right of those on the right comes first."
