Hadith 1184
1184 - حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ قَالَ: ثنا سُفْيَانُ، قَالَ: سَعْدٌ الطَّائِيُّ أَبُو مُجَاهِدٍ: سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْهُ وَأَنَا غُلَامٌ، عَنْ أَبِي مُدِلَّةٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّا إِذَا كُنَّا عِنْدَكَ كَانَتْ قُلُوبُنَا عَلَي حَالٍ، فَإِذَا خَرَجْنَا مِنْ عِنْدِكَ كَانَتْ عَلَي غَيْرِ تِلْكَ الْحَالِ، قَالَ: فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَوْ كُنْتُمْ إِذَا خَرَجَتُمْ مِنْ عِنْدِي مِثْلَكُمْ إِذَا كُنْتُمْ عِنْدِي، لَصَافَحَتْكُمُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ» ¤ قَالَ: وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «بِنَاءُ الْجَنَّةِ لَبِنَةٌ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ، وَلَبِنَةٌ مِنْ فِضَّةٍ، وَمِلَاطُهَا الْمِسْكُ الْأَذْفَرُ، وَحَصْبَاؤُهَا اللُّؤْلُؤُ وَالزَّبَرْجَدُ وَالْيَاقُوتُ» وَذَكَرَ حَدِيثًا فِيهِ طُولٌ
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The people said, "O Messenger of Allah! When we are in your presence, the state of our hearts is different, but when we leave your presence, our condition changes." Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "If, when you leave my presence, your state remains as it is when you are with me, then the angels would begin to shake hands with you." The narrator states: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said this: "Paradise has been constructed such that one brick is of gold and one brick is of silver, and its mortar is of pure musk, and its pebbles are pearls, emeralds, and rubies." After this, the narrator mentioned a lengthy hadith.
