Hadith 1169
1169 - حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ قَالَ: ثنا سُفْيَانُ، قَالَ: ثنا أَبُو الزِّنَادِ، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِذَا انْقَطَعَ شِسْعُ أَحَدِكُمْ فَلَا يَمِشِ فِي نَعْلٍ وَاحِدَةٍ، وَلَا خُفٍّ وَاحِدٍ حَتَّي يُصْلِحَ الْآخَرَ، وَإِذَا انْتَعَلَ فَلْيَبْدَأْ بِالْيَمِينِ، وَإِذَا خَلَعَ فَلْيَبْدَأْ بِالْيُسْرَي، وَلَتْكُنِ الْيُمْنَي أَوَّلَهُمَا تَنْعَلُ وَآخَرَهُمَا تُحْفِي»
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When a person's sandal strap breaks, he should not walk wearing only one shoe, nor should he wear only one sock until he has fixed the other. When someone puts on shoes, he should start with the right foot, and when taking them off, he should start with the left. The right foot should be the first to be put on and the last to be taken off."
