Hadith 1150
1150 - حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ قَالَ: ثنا سُفْيَانُ، قَالَ: ثنا عُمَارَةُ بْنُ الْقَعْقَاعِ، عَنْ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ جَرِيرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: «لَا عَدْوَي، وَلَا طَيْرَةَ، جَرِبَ بَعِيرٌ فَأَجْرَبَ مِائَةً، وَمَنْ أَعْدَي الْأَوَّلَ»
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "There is no reality in contagion or in the omen of the thirteenth. One camel gets mange and it causes a hundred camels to get mange, but who caused the first one to get the disease?"
