Hadith 1094
1094 - حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ قَالَ: ثنا سُفْيَانُ، قَالَ: ثنا أَبُو الزِّنَادِ، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَيْسَ الْغِنَي عَنْ كَثْرَةِ الْعَرَضِ، إِنَّمَا الْغِنَي غِنَي النَّفْسِ»
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Prosperity is not due to having an abundance of wealth and possessions; true prosperity is the prosperity of the heart."
