Hadith 1051
1051 - حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ قَالَ: ثنا سُفْيَانُ، قَالَ: ثنا سُمَيٌّ، مَوْلَي أَبِي بَكْرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَنْ صَلَّي عَلَي جِنَازَةٍ كَانَ لَهُ قِيرَاطٌ، وَمَنِ اتَّبَعَهَا حَتَّي يَفْرُغَ مِنْ أَمْرِهَا كَانَ لَهُ قِيرَاطَانِ أَحَدُهُمَا مِثْلُ أُحُدٍ»
Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever offers the funeral prayer will receive one qirat of reward, and whoever remains until the burial will receive two qirats of reward, one of which is like the size of a mountain."
