983 - حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ قَالَ: ثنا سُفْيَانُ، قَالَ: ثنا الزُّهْرِيُّ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ أُكَيْمَةَ اللَّيْثِيَّ يُحَدِّثُ، سَعِيدَ بْنَ الْمُسَيِّبِ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، يَقُولُ: صَلَّي بِنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَاةَ الصُّبْحِ، فَلَمَّا قَضَي النَّبِيُّ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ الصَّلَاةَ، قَالَ: «هَلْ قَرَأَ مَعِي مِنْكُمْ أَحَدٌ؟» ، فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ: نَعَمْ أَنَا، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِنِّي أَقُولُ: مَا بَالِي أُنَازَعُ الْقُرْآنَ؟ " قَالَ سُفْيَانُ: ثُمَّ قَالَ الزُّهْرِيُّ شَيْئًا لَمْ أَفْهَمْهُ، فَقَالَ لِي مَعْمَرٌ بَعْدُ: أَنَّهُ قَالَ: «فَانْتَهَي النَّاسُ عَنِ الْقِرَاءَةِ، فِيمَا جَهَرَ بِهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ» ، قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ: وَكَانَ سُفْيَانُ يَقُولُ فِي هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ: «صَلَّي بِنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَاةً أَظُنُّهَا صَلَاةَ الصُّبْحِ زَمَانًا مِنْ دَهْرِهِ» ، ثُمَّ قَالَ لَنَا سُفْيَانُ: نَظَرْتُ فِي كِتَابِي، فَإِذَا فِيهِ عِنْدِي: «صَلَّي بِنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَاةَ الصُّبْحِ»
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) led us in the morning prayer. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) completed the prayer, he said: "Did any one of you recite along with me?" One man replied: "Yes! I did." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I was wondering what was the reason that the Qur'an was being contended with me." Sufyan says: Then Zuhri mentioned something which I did not understand. Later, Mu'ammar informed me that he had said: After this, people refrained from reciting in those prayers in which the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recited aloud.
Imam Humaydi says: Sufyan, while narrating this report, used to narrate these words: "The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) led us in prayer." Sufyan says: I think it was the morning prayer. He continued to narrate it in this way for a long time, then Sufyan told us: I have reviewed my notes, and in them were these words: "The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) led us in the morning prayer."
Imam Humaydi says: Sufyan, while narrating this report, used to narrate these words: "The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) led us in prayer." Sufyan says: I think it was the morning prayer. He continued to narrate it in this way for a long time, then Sufyan told us: I have reviewed my notes, and in them were these words: "The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) led us in the morning prayer."
